Growing up as a dancer and as a girl, society’s messages always linked worth with appearance. Pilates became a tool to rewire the way I moved and the purpose of moving, from a place of performance to a place of function. After having two children, I have a deeper gratitude for the ever-changing + aging body - what it is capable of and the benefits of listening to it.

With my clients, I seek to foster body literacy (listening and understanding your body’s rhythms and patterns), and promote a healthy practice. I meet my clients where they are. Through movement and private instruction, I remind my clients of their innate beauty and invite them to challenge society’s messages about what is an acceptable body.  Basically, I reject the notion of a “beach body.” I particularly love working with women as they navigate postpartum, prenatal, metapause and all other life cycles that may come their way. Working together, we will use Pilates, movement, breath work, and journaling to achieve your personal goals.

The most valuable things I have learned from Pilates are how to

  1. Feel grounded in where I am in space

  2. Love my body as it changes over time

  3. Strengthen & move from the inside out.
